Contributors Showcase, Security Integration & UI Polish

Open Publisher thrives as an open-source desktop publishing platform driven by community innovation, code contributions, and real-world testing. Version 5.6.5 introduced a dedicated, unified Contributors Showcase inside the About dialog, honoring open-source developers and contributors while highlighting core team roles. In addition, this release integrated critical security protections from community contributions, resolved hover clipping artifacts across button borders, and synchronized version manifests across the entire ecosystem.

Unified Contributors Showcase

Accessible via Help -> About Open Publisher, the dialog features an ultra-compact, 2-column grid celebrating key project contributors:

  • Core Developers: Features @rmellis (Main Developer) and @tallulah95 (Main Designer & Tester), highlighted with brand green/teal background tints (color-mix) and primary theme borders.

  • Community Contributors: Displays @anupamme (Security Protections) and @lucastucious (High-DPI Feature Suggestion), linking directly to their public GitHub profiles.

  • AI Assistance Recognition: Acknowledges Gemini (Complex Problem Solver) with a custom gradient sparkle badge and link.

  • Ultra-Compact Geometry: Streamlines badge height to 22px with clean typography, fitting multiple contributor rows into a max 82px container with smooth scrolling for future additions.

Hover Border Stabilization

Previous interface buttons experienced subtle vertical translation jitter (translateY(-1px)) during mouse hover, occasionally clipping the top border against adjacent modal elements. Version 5.6.5 replaced translation offsets with elevation box-shadows and container padding, ensuring all four border lines remain crisp and stable during mouse interactions.

Security Protections & Asset Integrity

Version 5.6.5 merged community Pull Request #7 from @anupamme, reinforcing document data isolation and default asset protections across publication storage. Cachebusters and Service Worker manifests were bumped across all subsystems to guarantee instant client updates.

Tip: You can open the About dialog anytime from the Help menu to check your current build version and view project contributors.
